The Kingswood Players are an amateur theatre group in Kingswood, Bristol. We are responsible for the personal details you give us through this website, by email or by phone.
If you have a question about your details, or want us to change or delete them, email thekingswoodplayers@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
Joining the group. The Join form asks for your name, email, phone number and the jobs you're interested in. A committee member uses these to get in touch about coming along to a rehearsal. We rely on our legitimate interest in replying to people who ask to join.
Questions. The contact forms ask for your name, email and a message, so that we can reply. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Show updates. If you sign up to hear about the next show, we keep your email address and only use it to tell you about upcoming productions. We rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to one of our emails or contacting us.
Booking tickets. When you book by email or phone, we take your name, a phone number, the performance and how many tickets you want, so that we can hold your seats. We use this to arrange the booking you've asked for.
Members. If you join, we keep your name and contact details while you're a member so that we can tell you about rehearsals, productions and membership fees.
Who sees your details
Only the committee members who need them to reply to you, run the box office or manage membership. We do not sell your details or pass them to anyone else.
Our website is run by Squarespace, and our email by Google (Gmail). Your details are stored with them, and both may keep data outside the UK. When they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep them
Join and contact messages: 12 months, unless you become a member.
Ticket bookings: until that production has finished.
Show updates: until you ask to be removed.
Members: while you're a member, and for 12 months after you leave.
Cookies and video
The website uses Squarespace cookies so that it works and so that we can see how many people visit. You can change your choice under Cookie Preferences at the bottom of any page. Videos on the homepage are played by Facebook, which may set its own cookies when you play one.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. You can also object to how we use them. Email thekingswoodplayers@gmail.com and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd like the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us before you do.
